Shipping lines explained: tax free vs normal lines, volumetric weight, delivery times and real prices to Germany, the US and the UK.
Your finds passed QC and now the agent wants you to pick a shipping line. This is where a first haul gets more expensive than it needs to be. Here is how lines work, what you pay for and how to pick one. For live prices, open the shipping estimator.
What is a shipping line?
A shipping line is a route with its own carrier, price, speed and customs handling. Each agent sells its own set, and the names come straight from them: YunExpress, EMS, EUB, DHL or UPS, next to labels like Duty-Prepaid or Tax Free.
In our data Superbuy has 16 lines to Germany, 11 to the US and 16 to the UK. GTBuy has 5, 2 and 4, JoyaGoo 7, 3 and 7.
Every line is priced by weight. Superbuy and GTBuy charge a first weight for the first 500 g, then a fee per extra 500 g. Some lines add a fuel surcharge, an operation fee or a customs clearance fee on top.
Tax free lines vs normal lines
This is the big choice. On a tax free or duty prepaid line, the logistics company declares the parcel and pays the import charges up front. The agent builds that into the price, and Superbuy's own fee example shows a CN¥38 customs clearance fee inside a tax free UPS line. You normally pay nothing at the door.
On a normal line (EMS, EUB, standard UPS or DHL) the carrier clears customs and bills you duty, VAT and a service fee on delivery. In Germany, Deutsche Post and DHL charge €7.50 per parcel for that, according to Verbraucherzentrale. In our shipping estimator, tax free and duty prepaid lines carry a Tax free tag.
Carriers charge whichever is higher: the real weight or the volumetric weight, based on the size of the box. DHL's formula is length × width × height in cm, divided by 5000.
Example: a 40 × 30 × 20 cm box counts as 24,000 ÷ 5000 = 4.8 kg. If the items inside weigh 2 kg, you still pay for 4.8 kg.
The divisor depends on the agent and line, usually 5000, 6000 or 8000, so check the line details. Some lines charge real weight only and say so in the name, like Superbuy's Duty-Free Air Express (Actual Weight).
How to save weight
Remove the boxes. Shoe boxes are big and light, exactly what volumetric weight punishes. Ask for package removal in the remarks.
Ship everything in one parcel. Each line charges a first weight, so one parcel beats two. Superbuy's YunExpress line to Germany costs ¥164 for 2 kg, against ¥192 for two 1 kg parcels.
Use the free storage. Superbuy and JoyaGoo store items free for 90 days, so let your haul build up.
Ask for a rehearsal pack if your agent offers it. The parcel is weighed first, so you see the real weight before you pay.
Should you add insurance?
Agents offer insurance as an optional extra, but terms vary and Superbuy's weren't shown on the pages we checked. Read the line's terms first. Superbuy says it can't control confiscation by customs, so don't count on insurance covering a seizure.
How long does shipping take?
Calculator transit times run from 4 to 9 days on the fastest UPS line to 21 to 35 days on the slowest EUB line. Most budget lines to Germany, the US and the UK take 7 to 21 days. Add roughly one to two weeks before that for the seller, QC photos and packing.

Before coupons, Superbuy is cheapest in all three countries. With its shipping coupon GTBuy gets competitive, and ¥67.26 for 1 kg to the UK is the lowest price in these tables.
Germany and the EU: pick a tax free or duty prepaid line. Since 1 July 2026 there is no duty free band under €150, so a normal line usually means a bill at the door. Superbuy's Europe DHL Duty-Prepaid Economy Line takes 10 to 15 days for ¥115 at 1 kg.
United States: de minimis is gone, so stick to tax free lines. 8 of Superbuy's 11 US lines are tax free. The fastest, UPS(HK)-5500, can charge duty on delivery.
United Kingdom: 10 of Superbuy's 16 UK lines can bill you on delivery, so look for the tag.
Canada and Australia: fewer lines. Superbuy's tax free picks are the Duty-Prepaid Apparel Line to Canada (¥114 at 1 kg) and Australia Air Express (¥94).
Also check the maximum weight. Superbuy's YunExpress clothing line to Germany and the US stops at 5 kg.

What is the best shipping line to Germany?
Prices change, but a tax free or duty prepaid line is the safe pick. On 7 October 2026 the cheapest was Superbuy's YunExpress clothing line at ¥96 for 1 kg. Compare every line in the shipping estimator.
What does tax free shipping mean?
The logistics company pays the import charges up front and the cost is built into the line price, so you normally pay nothing at the door. It isn't a guarantee. More in customs and taxes.
How is volumetric weight calculated?
Length × width × height in cm, divided by a divisor, usually 5000, 6000 or 8000 depending on the line. You pay for whichever is higher, real or volumetric weight.
How long does shipping from an agent take?
Most budget lines to Germany, the US and the UK take 7 to 21 days after the parcel leaves the warehouse, plus roughly one to two weeks before that for the seller, QC and packing.

Which agent should I pick?
All three are on the trusted agent list of r/FashionReps2. Not sure? Start with Superbuy. The item price comes from the seller, so it's the same everywhere. Agents differ in service fees, coupons and shipping lines, so compare them in our shipping estimate.
What does tax free mean?
On a tax free line the agent covers the import tax, so usually nothing extra is due when your parcel arrives. On other lines you may have to pay import tax and fees on delivery.
How long does shipping take?
Usually 7 to 25 days from the warehouse, depending on the line and your country. Express lines are faster but cost more. Our estimate shows the time for every line.
Is this legal?
Buying clothes from Chinese shops for yourself is normal online shopping. Copies of branded items are different: customs in many countries, including the EU, can hold or seize parcels with copied logos. For personal orders the usual worst case is losing that parcel. Plain basics and blanks without logos are not affected. Rules differ by country, so check yours.
How do I pay?
You pay the agent, never the seller. Agents accept cards and other common payment methods, you see the options and any fees at checkout. You pay twice: first the item plus a small domestic shipping fee, later the international shipping once your haul is ready.
Why are there two prices?
The ¥ price is the seller's price in China. The other one is the same amount in your currency, so it's one price shown two ways. You pay it to your agent when you order. Shipping comes later, when your haul is ready.
What if the size is wrong?
Check the size chart on the listing and compare it with a piece you own, in cm. If it still doesn't fit, most agents let you return or exchange it at the warehouse before it ships, usually for a small fee. Once your parcel is shipped, returns are hardly possible.
Not much, but it helps to know. If an item is out of stock, the agent refunds you to your agent balance, and you can use it or withdraw it. Items only stay in the warehouse for free for a limited time, often around 90 days, so ship before that runs out. Parcels can get lost or held by customs, especially with brand logos. Most agents sell shipping insurance for a small fee, which pays back part or all of the cost. Returns and exchanges are only possible before your parcel ships.
How long does everything take?
Usually 2 to 4 weeks in total: a few days until the item reaches the warehouse, a day for QC photos, then 7 to 25 days of shipping depending on the line.

From agent warehouses, taken when other buyers ordered the same item. They show the real product instead of the seller's ads.

Hosting
coppd runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). To deliver the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser and the page you open. This is needed to show the site and to protect it against attacks (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU US Data Privacy Framework.
Stored on your device
We don't set tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps only what you choose to keep: saved finds, your haul, saved and recent shops, currency, country, language, size inputs, your privacy choice and, if you share community answers, a random device ID. You can delete it any time in your browser settings (§ 25 (2) TDDDG, strictly necessary for features you ask for).
Community answers
When you share a vote, your size or a delivery time, we store your answer on our server with a random device ID, so you can change it later and everyone sees real buyer stats. We store only what you send: vote, height, weight, size and fit, or country, shipping line and days. No account, no name, no email (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR).
Answers are deleted after 12 months. To stop spam we count answers per IP address and day, but only as a hash with a key that changes every day and is then deleted, so your IP address is never stored in readable form. Saving a find or tapping Buy is counted only as a number per find, without any ID.
Statistics
Only if you agree, we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and doesn't build profiles. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy settings (Art. 6 (1) a GDPR).
Product images and QC photos
Product images, shop listings and QC photos come from Chinese shops, GTBuy and Qualit.ly. We load them through our own server, so these services don't see your IP address.
Links to agents and shops
Buy and sign up links take you to shopping agents like Superbuy or GTBuy. Some links contain our partner code. Once you leave coppd, the privacy policy of that site applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and to object, and the right to complain to a data protection authority. We store no names, emails or accounts. Community answers are linked only to a random device ID, not to you as a person. Contact us if you want them deleted.
