How to buy from Weidian and Taobao in 2026 with an agent: order, check QC photos, ship your haul, plus real timings and costs, step by step.
Most Taobao and Weidian sellers only ship inside China, and the shops are in Chinese. A shopping agent buys the item for you, checks it in its warehouse and ships it to your door. You pay the agent twice: once for the item when you order, once for shipping when your haul is ready. Here is every step with real timings and prices. The quick version is on how to buy.
Step 1: Pick an agent and sign up

Step 2: Find the item and paste the link
On coppd, pick your agent once. Every Buy button then opens the item straight at that agent. Found something elsewhere? Paste the Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link into our link converter or your agent's search bar.

Step 3: Pay for the item and domestic shipping
You pay the item price plus the seller's shipping to the agent's warehouse in China, which is usually small and sometimes free. Agents take cards and other common methods. Some payment methods carry a fee, so check the total at checkout.
Superbuy charges no service fee on Taobao, Tmall and 1688 links, and 10% (minimum ¥10, maximum ¥20) on platforms it doesn't list. That may include Weidian, so check the total. GTBuy is reported to charge a small flat fee per order, and JoyaGoo advertises zero commission.
Step 4: Wait for warehouse arrival
Sellers usually ship within 1 to 3 days, plus 1 to 4 days of transit inside China, so expect about 3 to 7 days. Small Weidian sellers can be slower, and pre-order items can take 1 to 3 weeks.
Step 5: Check your QC photos
On arrival the agent weighs and inspects the item and photographs your actual piece, usually within 1 to 2 days. Compare measurements with the size chart, then check stitching, print placement, color and flaws like stains or broken zippers.
Happy? That is a green light (GL). If not, ask for a return or exchange right away. With an agent, China's 7 day return rule usually counts from warehouse arrival, the buyer pays the return freight, and many Weidian sellers don't take returns at all. See our QC photos checklist.
Step 6: Watch the storage period
Superbuy and JoyaGoo store items free for 90 days, and GTBuy is reported to give 180. After Superbuy's free period you pay ¥0.1 per item per day, and after 180 days items count as abandoned. Ship before the clock runs out.
Step 7: Combine your haul and pick a shipping line
Select your items, add your address and choose a shipping line. Everything goes into one parcel, which is much cheaper than shipping items one by one. Extras like removing packaging, reinforcement or insurance go in the remarks.
On tax free and duty prepaid lines, the shipping company pays import charges up front, so you normally pay nothing at the door. On normal lines like EMS, the carrier bills duty, VAT and a fee on delivery. Compare lines in the shipping estimate and read shipping lines explained.
Step 8: Pay shipping and track your parcel
You pay a deposit based on the estimated weight. The final price uses the weight the carrier verifies, and any surplus goes back to your agent balance. Tracking then shows up in your account (at Superbuy under My Parcel).

Plan for roughly two to five weeks from order to door. Agents don't publish fixed times per stage, so treat these as typical ranges.

Shipping is a first weight plus each extra 500 g, so one bigger parcel beats two small ones. On that line 1 kg costs ¥96 and 2 kg ¥164. To the US, Superbuy's cheapest 2 kg line is ¥228, to the UK ¥127. Volumetric weight and surcharges are not included.
In the EU, the duty free band under €150 ended on 1 July 2026, and import VAT applies from the first euro. Duty prepaid lines include this in the price. On other lines you pay at the door, and in Germany Deutsche Post and DHL add a €7.50 fee per parcel. More in customs and taxes.
Common beginner mistakes
- Guessing the size. Compare the chart in cm with a piece you own.
- Approving QC too fast. Returns only work before the parcel ships.
- Shipping items one by one. Each parcel pays the first weight again.
- Picking a line on price alone. Paying at the door can cost more than a duty prepaid line.
- Ignoring the logo risk. Customs can seize parcels with copied brand logos. In Germany, zoll.de says buying even a single fake online for private use counts as commercial, and buyers usually lose the parcel. Not legal advice, check your country's rules.
- Asking for a lower declared value. That is customs fraud. Let the agent declare the parcel properly.
