How to pay your agent: Superbuy and JoyaGoo payment methods
Cards, local methods, top ups and refunds: what you pay, in which currency, and what to do when a card is declined.

You pay your agent on its official site or app, with a card or another method from its payment page, either at checkout or by topping up your balance first. Superbuy payment methods include international credit and debit cards, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Wise and local options like PayID, Pix, Bancontact and BLIK. JoyaGoo takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and its own set of local methods.
As of October 2026 Superbuy charges no service fee on Taobao, Weidian and 1688 orders, and JoyaGoo calls its agent service free. The costs to watch are your payment method and currency conversion. You also pay at least twice: items first, shipping later.
Superbuy and JoyaGoo payment methods
Here’s what each agent’s payment methods page lists as of October 2026 (Superbuy, JoyaGoo). PayPal isn’t on either list. Options depend on your country and change, so check the top up page for yours.

No Superbuy fee doesn’t mean free: with a foreign card, WeChat itself charges 3% on single payments above ¥200 (WeChat help). Superbuy publishes no fixed rate for cards, and for local methods it says the fee is whatever the payment page shows. JoyaGoo publishes no payment fees. Either way, read the total before you confirm.

You pay twice, sometimes more
- Order payment: item price, China shipping to the warehouse and any extras you pick, like detailed photos (Superbuy fee page).
- Shipping payment: when you submit your parcel, you pay international shipping based on its estimated weight.
- Settling up: once the carrier’s real bill is in, your agent refunds any overpayment to your balance or asks for the rest. JoyaGoo also offers paid rehearsal packing: the warehouse packs first, then you pay the real shipping once.
Import tax can come on top, see customs and taxes. Paying doesn’t change what customs allows: items with fake logos are trademark infringement, customs can seize them, and in some countries, like France, even buying them is illegal. Both agents say a seized parcel is your loss.
Currency: what you’re really charged
Sellers price in yuan (¥), and your agent converts at its own rate. If the charge isn’t in your card’s currency, your bank converts it again and may add a foreign transaction fee.
After your first payment, compare the payment page total with what left your account. That gap is your real conversion cost, so plan for it in your total cost.
Top up first or pay at checkout
Both agents let you do either. Money that comes back to you, like a shipping overpayment, lands in your agent balance. To get it back to your card, you request a withdrawal.
At Superbuy a withdrawal to your original payment method goes out right away, then your bank needs time: usually 3 to 30 working days for cards and 1 to 3 for Alipay or WeChat Pay, by Superbuy’s estimates. Wise and bank transfer top ups can’t go back the same way, so Superbuy asks for your account details and pays out by Wise or bank transfer. Banks or payment platforms can take a fee from a refund, and that fee is on you.
If your card is declined
- Check your banking app. Your bank may want you to approve the payment there or with a code. In the EU and UK this check is required for most online payments (European Commission), and for cards it’s usually called 3D Secure.
- Ask your bank. Banks can block a payment to a company abroad as a fraud check, and some cards have online or foreign payments switched off. Fix that, then try once more.
- Switch methods. Pick another option on the payment page instead of retrying the same card again and again.
Charged, but nothing shows up in your order or balance? Check your orders before paying again, then send support a screenshot of the charge with the time, amount and transaction number. Talk to support before you open a chargeback with your bank.
Pay only inside the official site or app
Pay only on superbuy.com, joyagoo.com or their official apps, never through a link or account someone sends you. Superbuy’s terms say it won’t accept deals you make directly with a seller. The FTC warns that scammers push gift cards, crypto, wire transfers and payment apps. More in our scam guide.
